Look for the exit before adding a subscription

A subscription is easier to judge when you know how it ends.

A subscription is easier to judge when you know how it ends. Check cancellation and export arrangements before the trial becomes part of your daily work.

Read the provider's current pricing and terms for your location. Note the renewal date, billing period and what changes after an introductory offer. Distinguish cancelling future renewal from receiving a refund; they may follow different rules. Keep confirmation of the plan you selected.

Check what you can take with you

Test an export of representative material and open it in another suitable application. Find out what happens to files, shared links and access after cancellation. A readable PDF may not preserve the editing structure you need elsewhere, and attachments may require separate handling.

Use the official account controls to learn the cancellation route. You do not need to cancel immediately, but it should be clear where the action takes place and what confirmation you would receive. Avoid relying on an old third-party tutorial for a financial decision.

Set a reminder to assess the service before renewal, with enough time to act under its terms. Judge the subscription by the work it helps you complete and the ease of leaving it. A useful exit plan makes the decision to stay more informed, rather than merely more habitual.
